For the first ten minutes of the game the two teams were equally erratic and unsettled. Spurs managed two attacks; one down the right with a good cross which travelled at pace across the front of Dynamos goal but could not be taken advantage of, and two; a central attack which arrived at the feet of a Spurs forward in space which needed a quick turn and snap shot, neither of which were forthcoming and the ball was cleared away.

The Dynamos, meanwhile, were progressing with a good attack on the left flank and crossing the ball dangerously but without a scoring finish. After a hectic, but largely unproductive 15 minutes, BWD began to look the more composed side and their passing was markedly improving.
