As we move into February, Spurs welcome The Bulldogs to Kennels Lane (a headline waiting to be written)!
Laverstock & Ford, aka "The Bulldogs", sit 6th in Division 1, just outside the automatic promotion playoff places, and will probably be more than keen to get back to more consistent winning ways - current form PWDDWL - to help with their end of season run in.
Laverstock's current league results: Played 27; Won 15; Drawn 6; Goals For 70, Against 44 and Points 51.
Last 3 Results:
The Bulldogs have a twin goal threat, Russell Jones (17 goals in 25 league games) and Archie Lovegrove (15 goals in 25 starts) to look out for. If Spurs new defence combination can keep those 2 quiet there could be a chance of an unexpected result.
Fleet have their own design on points collection with their challenge to move out of the bottom three. A much improved all round battling performance by all Spurs players against Andover Town last Saturday should give the home side extra confidence going into this match.
Of Fleet's nearest league sides only Fawley (16th) have a midweek game (Home to Division 1 leaders Bemerton Heath Harlequins) which gives Spurs an opportunity gain some ground on their closest rivals.
